Vicky Walters, a rising senior theater arts major at N.C. A&T, performs there in the play “Oedipus the Queen.” She says she chose A&T so she wouldn’t be the only Black actress at a predominantly white school. “I’m not going to be playing a supporting role my whole four years of college,” she said. Walters now aims for Yale University for graduate school, where she plans to study theater management. “You see a nice mix of all races,” she said.

Vicky Walters, a rising senior theater arts major at N.C. A&T, performs there in the play “Oedipus the Queen.” She says she chose A&T so she wouldn’t be the only Black actress at a predominantly white school. “I’m not going to be playing a supporting role my whole four years of college,” she said. Walters now aims for Yale University for graduate school, where she plans to study theater management. “You see a nice mix of all races,” she said.
