Watching the circus elephants travel from the train to the Greensboro Coliseum was a tradition for many local families. Here, the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus arrives in Greensboro Feb. 7, 2005, to begin setting up for the upcoming shows. Elephants and horses walk to the Greensboro Coliseum Complex from their rail cars parked nearby on West Lee Street. Traffic was stopped in both directions on Lee Street briefly as they crossed the street on the way to the coliseum.
