Weatherspoon Art Museum will host a series of educational programs throughout the run of “Baggage Claims.”

Upcoming shows

Here’s the scoop on other upcoming exhibitions:

• March 3-June 17: "Carol Cole: Cast a Clear Light"

For the past 40 years, multimedia artist Carol Cole married her upbringing in the Deep South with her life in New York, creating work anchored in feminism. Using the motif of a single female breast as an icon of nurture, she transforms that familiar shape from recognizable to abstract and back again. “Art has been my means of survival,” she says.

• March 17-July 8: "City, Village, Exurbia: Prints and Drawing from the Collection"

Views of densely-packed cities, quaint towns and verdant panoramas of rolling hills prompt the comparison between life in each of these places. The artists use structures, vantage points, tonal contrast and mediums to set the mood and atmosphere of each work.
