Kenny Shulman (left) started the Periwinkle Project after her friend, Susan Sassman, (right) developed esophageal cancer. The program in part, raises money to help Sassman with expenses associated with medical care and transportation to a medical facility in another state through donations collected by selling cancer bracelets like the ones worn by Shulman.
