Tamara Figueroa and her son Jose Charles were joined Wednesday by Operation Transparency's Protection Brigade, which is asking Greensboro City Council to release the police video on the Jose Charles arrest. After a brief press conference Wednesday the crowd of about 40 people went to the council's executive office to deliver copies of their ultimatum to City Council. As part of its ultimatum, the group said it will be at the May 2 council meeting “prepared to do all that we can to protect this child, and to protect transparency and fairness.” At first denied entry, the Rev. Nelson Johnson spoke to Greensboro Police Deputy Chief James Hinson Jr. who came out of the locked door to speak to the crowd and afterward let them in to make their delivery.
