Regional tourism spending
Tourism spending in the 14-county Triad and northwest North Carolina region rose by 2.7% to $4.81 billion during 2024, according to Visit NC.
Twelve counties experienced a year-over-year spending uptick.
Alamance: $282.9 million, up 4.2% over 2023
Alleghany: $52.4 million, up 8.4%
Ashe: $123.86 million, up 10%
Davidson: $316.6 million, up 3.3%
Davie: $48.43 million, up 5%
Forsyth: $1.09 billion, up 3.3%
Guilford: $1.79 billion, up 6.6%
Randolph: $199.86 million, up 5.4%
Rockingham: $93.31 million, down 0.6%
Stokes: $58.19 million, up 11.2%
Surry: $160.93 million, up 6.2%
Watauga: $515.85 million, down 0.4%
Wilkes: $116.84 million, up 2.1%
