Ellen Roberts
October 22, 1962 - October 3, 2026
Ellen B. Roberts, 63, passed away October 3, 2026, at Forsyth Novant Medical Center in Winston Salem. She was born in Guilford County to Bobby Varner and Norma Morris Varner. Ellen and Robjn attended Kinnett Memorial Baptist Church in Burlington, N.C., and was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother and sister.
She was preceded in death by Robin Roberts, her late husband; and her father, Bobby Varner.
Survivors include her mother, Norma Pelchat; daughter, Sonya Burns (Cristian Solis); grandchildren, Christian and Luke Burns; and five siblings.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Kinney Memorial Baptist of Burlington, N.C.
The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to all of the health care workers who assisted in Ellens care.
