John Dell has been a sportswriter for the Winston-Salem Journal since 1993. He has been covering WSSU and the CIAA since 1996. He’s a seven-time winner of the CIAA Sportswriter of the Year award. He’s covered six of the 12 CIAA football titles WSSU has won since 1977 and five of the 13 CIAA men's basketball titles. He also covered the most recent women's basketball season where the Rams won their first CIAA title.
