Dudley QB Hendon Hooker went out in style. The Virginia Tech commitment completed 11 of 16 passes for 221 yards and three touchdowns and added 89 yards and three TDs on 12 carries to earn MVP honors.

Why the Panthers won

Coach Steven Davis' team dominated from the opening minutes. Dudley scored 54 points, and the way defensive coordinator Brandon Anderson’s group was playing they didn’t need anywhere near that much. The Panthers held Cape Fear’s offense to 108 yards and forced four turnovers.
